Position Summary
Morehouse College, a prestigious historically Black college renowned for its commitment to academic excellence and leadership development, invites applications for the Executive Director of the Morehouse College Real Estate Institute (MREI). This role requires a seasoned professional with both academic and industry experience, dedicated to advancing real estate education and fostering strategic partnerships. The ideal candidate will hold at least an MBA, possess a relevant professional license (such as Sales, Broker, MAI, CCIM, or SREA), and have completed graduate-level courses in real estate. With a minimum of 10 years of experience in the field, the candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to student success and community engagement.

Relevant real estate certifications, history of successful fundraising, and track record of developing and managing education programs, mentoring students, and effective teaching in real estate. Ability to contribute to a team and collaborate with faculty within and across business disciplines. Demonstrated success in leadership roles, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse group of stakeholders, including faculty, students, and industry partners.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Master's degree in real estate or finance from an AACSB-accredited institution and a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in the real estate or real estate finance industry. Candidates from non-AACSB accredited institutions will not be considered. Must be able to qualify for teaching and meet SACSCOC faculty qualification standards.

Develop and implement a strategic plan that aligns with the college's mission and goals, emphasizing innovation, inclusivity, and excellence in real estate education. Program Growth:
Expand the Institute's academic offerings, including certificate programs, continuing education, and workshops tailored to current market demands. Strategic Vision:
Ability to develop and articulate a compelling vision for the Real Estate Institute, aligning it with broader institutional goals. Communication:
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of audiences. Interpersonal Skills:
Strong interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain productive relationships with students, colleagues, and industry partners. Analytical Skills:

Work closely with faculty to integrate real estate principles across various disciplines and encourage interdisciplinary research. Industry Engagement, Fundraising, and Partnerships
Relationship Building:
Establish and nurture relationships with key industry players, including real estate firms, developers, financial institutions, and government agencies. Collaborative Initiatives:
Develop collaborative initiatives that provide students with real-world experience through internships, co-op programs, and industry-sponsored projects. Funding and Resources:
Secure external funding and resources through grants, sponsorship, and partnerships to support the Institute's initiatives, faculty, and scholarship programs. Research and Thought Leadership
Research Promotion:
Work in tandem with the Academic Director of MREI to promote and support faculty and student research in real estate, ensuring the dissemination of findings through academic journals, conferences, and industry publications. Industry Trends:
Stay abreast of and contribute to discussions on emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities within the real estate sector. Public Speaking:
Represent the Institute at academic and industry conferences, delivering presentations and participating in panels to enhance the Institute's visibility and influence. Student Development and Support
Student Mentorship:
Provide mentorship and guidance to students, helping them navigate academic challenges and career opportunities in real estate. Professional Development:
Develop and implement programs that enhance students' professional skills, including networking events, career fairs, and workshops on industry-relevant topics. Alumni Engagement:
Foster a robust alumni network that actively supports current students through mentorship, job placements, and guest lectures. Operational Management
Budget Management:
Oversee the Institute's budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources to support academic programs, research activities, and community initiatives. Policy Compliance:
Ensure all programs and activities comply with institutional policies, accreditation requirements, and industry regulations. Marketing and Outreach:
Develop and implement marketing and outreach strategies to attract students, faculty, and industry partners to the Institute. Community Engagement
Community Initiatives:
Engage with local and regional communities to address real estate-related issues, promoting sustainable development and economic growth. Public Service:
Lead public service initiatives that leverage the Institute's expertise to benefit the community, such as affordable housing projects and urban planning workshops. Representation:
