Worship Center
By providing excellent service, food, and hospitality, the Main Street Cafe Team Member helps create a culture where people can engage in connection, ministry activities, groups, and Sunday services without distractions, supporting their spiritual growth. They are responsible for exceptional customer service at the point-of-sale area and skilled at assisting in coffee service. This person reports to the Food Services Manager.
Schedule
Part-time, non-exempt position, 12 hours weekly. Varied hours include days, evenings, and some Saturdays. Every other Sunday is required.
Qualifications
Education: Minimum High School graduate. Experience: Previous hospitality, cashier, or food service experience in a food service area. License/Certification: SERV Safe Certification and valid PA Driver's License Specific Abilities: Skill in working as part of a team. Excellent communication and interactive skills as they relate to people of all ages. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Operate a touch screen computer terminal in a high-volume setting. Working knowledge of math and cash handling. Key Responsibilities
Provide consistently excellent customer service. Prepare made-to-order food (including bakery items and pastries) for individuals, events, and catering. Make coffee, espresso drinks, and smoothies. Setup and tear down of cafe following standard operating procedures. Settle cash registers and handle deposits for Main Street and Student Ministries cafés. Deliver the register contents to finance. Prepare registers for the weekend by stocking them with the proper change. Ability to coordinate all events. Maintain dining area and kitchen cleanliness according to SERV Safe standards throughout the shift. Other duties as assigned. Worship Center Mission & Vision Alignment
