The Retail Lead is responsible for assisting the Retail Supervisor with day-to-day operations by delivering exceptional customer service, generating sales, performing inventory control, and merchandising in accordance with Deer Valley Retail standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Oversee store opening and closing procedures, ensuring they are complete and compliant

Support continuous improvement by communicating staff expectations and modeling Deer Valley initiatives

Assist sales associates with technical support, customer service, and policy procedure issues

Check retail email throughout the day and respond and react as appropriate

Maintain stock levels by executing daily restocking procedures and organizing backroom storage

Execute inventory control, including theft, damages, transfers between stores, and receiving daily merchandise shipments

Communicate with Retail Management Team and the Distribution Center in an efficient manner

Maintain store appearance and standards compliant with Deer Valley Retail

Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous retail experience preferred

Previous experience in driving sales, interpreting reporting data, and retail merchandising preferred

Previous experience in the ski industry preferred, but not required

Proficient with basic technology (Point of Sale system, Microsoft Office, Teams)

Commitment to exceptional customer service by delivering the Deer Valley Difference

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to solve problems and analyze issues with a quick resolution

Ability to react quickly and professionally in a fast-paced environment

Strong team collaboration and interpersonal skills

Detail oriented with excellent organizational skills

Work a Seasonal, Full-Time schedule to include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays (including Christmas, New Years, and President's Day)

Must be available to work shifts on either Saturday or Sundays

Continuous mobility throughout the store, including twisting, bending, pulling, pushing, crouching, stooping, and reaching during shift

Must be able to use a ladder

Must be able to lift 25+ lbs during shift

Minimum 4 days/30 hours weekly

PAY RATE:

$22.00 per hour
