Overview
Are you an Accounting or Finance professional who is skilled with data and looking to make a transition?
Our client, a growing manufacturing company in Chicago's western suburbs, is looking for an experienced ERP Business Analyst responsible for ensuring system integrity and consideration of cross-functional implications to changes in business process through ERP implementation and future utilization. This role acts as a change agent for Finance, taking the lead on communication with IT as pertains to system implementation and refinement as well as leading training and documentation of financial process.
Responsibilities
- Manages the relationship between finance leaders and IT relative to requirements, integration, upgrading and testing of modules to ensure proper integration of process changes and functionality for the finance and accounting organization.
- Act as the IFS SME for financial process and assess cross-functional implications of process changes to financial reporting
- Create and maintain process and training documents and lead training and support of finance and accounting end users IFS
- Technical support for building and refining financial reporting utilizing IFS integrations, responsible for ensuring financial data integrity within the ERP and Reporting systems
- Translate business needs into scalable IFS processes as defined by finance leadership for future phases of system implementation
Requirements
- Knowledge of the manufacturing industry including industry best practices and trends.
- Experience implementing ERP finance module
- Strong Financial/Accounting business process knowledge.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders
- Understanding of GAAP and cost accounting
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, experience in SQL, Power BI, or other BI tools a plus
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Knowledge of process improvement, project management methodologies, and the ability to facilitate team discussions to clearly record current state flows.
Education and Experience
- Bachelors degree in Finance/Accounting or Information Systems (essential)
- 5+ years of experience in financial systems, familiar with ERP system financial, accounting and controlling modules (essential)
- Strong Financial/Accounting business process knowledge (essential)
