Logistics Assistant (International Shipping) Do you thrive in fast-paced environments where your attention to detail and organizational skills shine? We're seeking a highly organized, proactive, and bilingual Logistics Assistant to help coordinate international shipments for major retailers throughout Latin America. What You’ll Do
You’ll be at the heart of our logistics operations, ensuring products move smoothly via ocean, air, and trucking routes. Your day-to-day will include:
Managing the export process and ensuring compliance with U.S. and international regulations Coordinating with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and suppliers to book and track shipments Verifying documents like bills of lading, purchase orders, and shipment authorizations Updating internal databases with accurate shipping details Communicating effectively with both client import departments and internal buyer teams Scheduling shipments for complex and hazardous cargo Resolving shipment issues and requesting freight quotes Maintaining strong relationships with logistics providers
What You Bring
You don’t need to be a logistics expert yet — we’ll train you! But here’s what will make you successful:
High School Diploma required; further education in logistics or international business is a plus Bilingual in English & Spanish (spoken and written) — this is a must Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); experience with AES filings and HTS codes is a plus Strong communication and customer service skills A self-starter with excellent time management, analytical, and problem-solving abilities Comfortable juggling multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment Previous experience in freight forwarding, export logistics, or contract management is a bonus
Position Details
Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday Location: Office-based (details shared upon interview) Training Provided: Learn the ins and outs of international logistics Opportunities to Grow: Expand your knowledge of supply chain, compliance, and global commerce
