Position Overview
KEITH is seeking a
CEI Senior Inspector
to join our team. This role involves performing highly complex technical assignments in field surveying and construction layout, making and checking engineering computations, inspecting construction work, and conducting field tests. The CEI Senior Inspector will also be responsible for coordinating and managing lower-level inspectors. Work is performed under the general supervision of the Project
Engineer/Administrator. Key Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed inspections of bridge and roadway construction projects (excluding Complex Category 2 (CC2) bridge structures). Perform field surveying and construction layout tasks, ensuring compliance with plans, specifications, and applicable regulations. Perform and verify engineering computations and field tests related to construction materials and quality control. Manage, coordinate, and provide guidance to lower-level inspectors. Ensure that all work aligns with FDOT standards and project requirements. Document inspection findings and prepare reports for project oversight. Preferred Certifications:
CTQP Drilled Shaft Inspection Certification IMSA Traffic Signal Technician Level I Certification . CTQP Concrete Field Inspector Level I Certification CTQP Asphalt Paving Level I & Level II Certifications CTQP Earthwork Construction Inspection Level I & Level II Certifications CTQP Final Estimates Level II Certification FDOT Advanced Temporary Traffic Control (TTC) Certification Nuclear Radiation Safety Certification Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Inspector Training and Certification What you'll need:
High school diploma or equivalent. At least
five (5) years
of experience in construction inspection. At least
two (2) years
of experience in
bridge and/or roadway construction inspection . Strong knowledge of FDOT construction standards and specifications. Experience working with contractors and engineers to resolve field-related issues. Strong organizational and leadership skills. Proficiency in field testing, construction documentation, and compliance verification.
