Overview
Communications, Awards, and Rankings Manager Troutman Pepper Locke LLP We are seeking a talented, motivated, growth-minded, and creative individual to lead all aspects of the firms rankings and recognitions in key legal directories and award programs. The role works closely with firm leadership, lawyers, the business development team, and other internal constituents to manage directories and awards processes, develop awards and rankings strategies, create award-winning submissions, elevate the firms market profile, and manage other communications projects as needed. Responsibilities
Lead and manage the firms comprehensive submission strategy for business rankings, surveys, and awards. Proactively provide strategic recommendations for existing or new rankings, surveys, and awards in line with firm strategy. Create and manage a legal directory and awards calendar with timelines and deadlines. Assist with the firms global legal directories submissions process, including Chambers and Legal 500, among others. Draft and edit nominations. Lead the submissions process to ensure adherence to deadlines and quality of submissions. Analyze, research, and provide guidance on brand-elevating opportunities and best practices around nominations and submissions, including the use of generative AI. Lead the collection of data and maintain internal databases to reflect up-to-date firm rankings and recognitions. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent oral, writing, editing, researching, and project management skills. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to distill complex concepts into compelling and persuasive content. Ability to take initiative and independently manage and prioritize a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines. Effective interview skills. Strong Microsoft skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Client-service oriented, with ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels of the firm. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Flexibility to adapt to quickly changing priorities. Education and/or Experience
Bachelors degree, with a specialization in communications, English, or equivalent field; or any combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position. Minimum of five (5) years of experience writing, editing, and proofreading in communications, journalism, publishing, public relations, marketing, or related field in an agency, law firm, or professional services firm. Experience using generative AI tools and interest in generative engine optimization strategies. Experience working with LexTrack is beneficial. Additional Information
