Palo Alto Cyber Security Engineer, Senior The Opportunity

As a systems security and next-generation firewall engineer, you will be responsible for the enterprise-wide deployment of the Palo Alto Networks Security Operating Platform and its associated Panorama management framework. You will oversee the development and implementation of advanced security solutions to deliver robust threat prevention and improve the overall enterprise security posture. You will supervise and mentor a team as they troubleshoot and analyze complex network challenges for customers, applying deep knowledge of Palo Alto's key security features, including App-ID, User-ID, Threat Prevention, and GlobalProtect. You will manage research of new technologies and market trends to refine our security solutions and ensure alignment with the evolving threat landscape. In this role, you will closely impact mission success, protecting data and networks from malicious payloads and actors. What You'll Work On Develop relationships quickly with other teams, communicating the complexities of security to audiences including senior management. Manage infrastructure and cybersecurity controls, including enhanced detection, vulnerability capabilities, and improved event correlation in large enterprises. Lead risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas, using big data analytics and traditional security event types to identify advanced threats or indicators of compromise.

You Have Experience configuring, managing, and optimizing Palo Alto Firewalls directly and via Panorama Knowledge of multi-domain architectures, including data center, WAN, and LAN in virtualized environments Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam Education and experience combinations: Associate's degree with 5+ years, Bachelor's degree with 3+ years, or Master's degree with 1+ years in IT projects and activities DoD 8570 IAT Level II Certification, including Security+ CE, CCNA-Security, GSEC, SSCP, CySA+, GICSP, or CND Certification Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 CSSP-IS certification within 30 days of start date, including CEH, CySA+, GICSP, SSCP, CHFI, CFR, Cloud+, or CND
