Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer with Security Clearance

Velocity-X is seeking a highly motivated and self-directed professional to fill the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer to support our team in Northern Virginia. Responsibilities: * Design, develop, and implement scalable AI/ML computing infrastructures and application stacks. * Build and deploy machine learning models and AI solutions from scratch. * Transform machine learning models into APIs for integration with other applications. * Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver AI solutions. * Conduct statistical analysis and interpret results to guide and optimize decision-making. * Manage data ingestion, preprocessing, and feature engineering to ensure data quality for model training. * Optimize AI algorithms for performance, scalability, and efficiency. * Stay up-to-date with the latest AI and machine learning advancements, research, and tools. * Troubleshoot and resolve AI-related issues, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of AI applications. * Document architecture roadmaps, reference architectures, and standard operating procedures for AI solutions. * Potentially lead cross-functional teams in identifying and prioritizing areas where AI can provide business benefits. * Advise stakeholders on AI strategy, technology, and policy issues. * Automate AI infrastructures for the data science team. * Evaluate and implement best practices in AI/ML, data mining, and analytics. Qualifications: * Masters in Computer Vision, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics or related field. * 10 years experience with 3 years of demonstrated and related industry experience * Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, and/or R. * Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, Keras, and/or PyTorch. * Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms (supervised, unsupervised, reinforcement learning), deep learning, and neural networks. * Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation techniques.Familiarity with data management and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop, SQL, NoSQL databases). * Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their AI/ML services. * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. * Excellent communication and collaboration skills to articulate technical solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences. * Understanding of basic algorithms, object-oriented and functional design principles. * Experience with version control systems like Git.
