Your role as a BSA Compliance Analyst

As a BSA Compliance Analyst at SkyOne Federal Credit Union, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining our comprehensive Bank Secrecy Act (BSA)/Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Program. Your responsibilities will include ensuring high-level compliance with regulations, internal policies, and federal expectations through transaction monitoring, Know Your Customer (KYC) processes, Customer Identification Programs (CIP), and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) reviews. You'll investigate alerts and risk profiles of high and moderate-risk members, process complex BSA-related investigations, and originate Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) and Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs). Additionally, you'll contribute to the development of new procedures in response to regulatory changes, serving as a liaison with external audits and regulatory agencies.

Reporting to the Risk and Compliance Manager, this role offers a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our compliance efforts while fostering a culture of respect and integrity.

To excel as a BSA Compliance Analyst at SkyOne Federal Credit Union, you will need a robust skill set that encompasses both technical and analytical capabilities. Proficiency in BSA/AML compliance tools and monitoring systems is essential for coordinating effective compliance programs aligned with current industry best practices. Strong analytical skills will enable you to evaluate member risk profiles, assess unusual account activities, and conduct thorough investigations of alerts. Experience with the Cannabis/MRB program is a plus, as you will oversee account applications and compliance reviews.

Effective communication skills are critical, as you will conduct training for staff and liaise with regulatory bodies and auditors. Additionally, a keen understanding of evolving regulations surrounding BSA, AML, and OFAC compliance will empower you to recommend necessary changes and controls to mitigate risks. Your proactive approach and adaptability will be key to navigating the complexities of this vital role. QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum three years of related experience in financial institutions.

A college degree preferred, but not required in lieu of similar or equal experience.

Possess BSA/AML Certification or agree to obtain this certification.

High-Level knowledge of the Bank Secrecy Act, USA Patriot Act, OFAC and Sanctions compliance, and industry best practices.

High-level analytical skills to produce and follow leads, develop complete and through pictures of suspicious activity and identify new trends in fraudulent behavior.

High-Level knowledge of The Cannabis Control Act, Cannabis Regulation Act and Compassionate Use Act

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to document all aspects of the BSA/AML program and related filings, e.g., memos, SAR narratives).

Strong detail orientation and organizational skills.

Capacity to learn technical subject areas.

Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects at one time.

Ability to work independently with minor supervision.

Strong and proficient PC skills and have extensive knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point Outlook).

Strong, proficient, and extensive knowledge of BSA monitoring systems (Verafin, Bam+, etc.) and Cannabis seed to sale monitoring systems.

Excellent interpersonal skills required.

Must be able to quickly process information to make informed decisions.

A high degree of confidentiality.
