Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Sr. Software Engineer to join our team at ONICON. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining software required to configure, report, and the data from a variety of flow meters and internal company databases. This includes developing new calculation algorithms and improving existing ones. This job also includes learning lower-level stack development
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Write and debug code for various internal and external software tools and apps
- Implement User Stories
- Define technical requirements from product requirements
- Develop test procedures and write software unit tests
- Lead and participate in software design reviews.
- Participate in firmware design reviews
- Generate firmware using “C” code for various microprocessor platforms
- Define technical requirements and software architecture, including drivers based on market and top-level system requirements.
- All other related duties as required.
Knowledge and Skills Requirement:
- Programming, C#, C++, .NET, MAUI, Python and/or C
- Version Control Git and/or SVN
- Embedded Device Programming (or willingness to learn)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Technical Leadership
Education and Experience Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering (Masters a plus)
- 7+ years programming experience
