About This Role

You'll be at the forefront of cloud innovation, designing and implementing complex, large-scale deployments across major cloud platforms. Working alongside brilliant cloud architects and engineers, you'll tackle everything from greenfield projects to sophisticated legacy modernization efforts. Your work will span the full spectrum of cloud engineering—from initial architecture reviews to hands-on deployment of distributed analytics platforms that operate at massive scale.

What You'll Do

Engineer Cloud Solutions That Matter

Design and deploy robust cloud infrastructure supporting critical ingest, storage, and analytics solutions using distributed technologies

Architect secure, scalable solutions across AWS, Azure, and GCP platforms

Lead complex migrations from on-premises environments to cloud-native architectures

Build Modern DevOps Pipelines

Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, TeamCity, and other cutting-edge tools

Deploy and manage Kubernetes clusters across multiple cloud platforms

Develop automation solutions using Ansible, Git, and infrastructure-as-code principles

Secure Mission-Critical Systems

Apply security best practices to AWS deployments and multi-cloud environments

Navigate classified environment processes and protocols with precision

Ensure compliance with stringent defense industry security standards

Collaborate and Lead

Participate in high-level architecture reviews with senior technical leadership

Influence and guide software development teams using Agile methodologies

Mentor team members and contribute to technical decision-making

5+ years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud environments (AWS/Azure)

Active TS/SCI clearance

Proven track record of successful application migrations from on-premises to cloud

Kubernetes deployment experience across major cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure)

CI/CD pipeline expertise with Jenkins, Git, TeamCity, or similar tools

Automation experience using Ansible, Git, and related technologies

Deep knowledge of cloud and virtualization technologies including Docker, VMware, OpenShift

Strong Linux/UNIX administration and automation skills

Solid foundation in system administration principles and classified environment operations

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Agile development methodologies

Track record of influencing and leading software development teams

Advanced Linux knowledge (Ubuntu, RHEL, CentOS) with web technologies (Apache, Nginx)

Expertise in modern protocols and architectures: Microservices, SOA, HTTP, SSL/TLS, LDAP

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Security+ Certification or equivalent
