The Director of Brand and Creative is a strategic and creative leader responsible for shaping, evolving, and stewarding the AAA brand across the federation. This position leads the AAA Masterbrand, overseeing all phases of brand and creative development from strategic planning through execution. The role guides the long-term evolution of the AAA Masterbrand, defining its future direction, identifying opportunities and gaps, and positioning it for greater relevance, consistency, and awareness. The Director leads a cross-functional team to ensure AAA remains a trusted, iconic brand while deepening emotional connections with current and future Members. This role partners closely with AAA Clubs to align brand strategy and creative direction across the federation. Duties & Responsibilities: Partners with Clubs to lead the development, evolution, and governance of the AAA Masterbrand strategy, ensuring long-term alignment with the organizational vision, Member needs, and federation-wide priorities. Defines and drives strategic brand positioning by articulating a differentiated value proposition and aligning messaging, visual identity, and Member experience across all touchpoints. Designs and implements comprehensive brand guidelines, messaging frameworks, and visual identity systems that ensure clarity, consistency, and impact across the federation. Partners closely with AAA Clubs to align on shared brand priorities, support regional integration of the national strategy, and drive consistency in Member experience and brand perception. Serves as the brand's internal champion, embedding brand principles across departments and facilitating brand education and adoption through training, toolkits, and shared resources. Inspires and manages a multidisciplinary team of designers, multimedia specialists, and brand managers to deliver cohesive, high-quality brand assets. Promotes excellence in design thinking and creative strategy that reflects AAAs mission, values, and heritage. Study market, cultural, and industry trends to ensure brand strategy remains relevant, differentiated, and responsive to evolving Member expectations. Develops frameworks to assess brand health in collaboration with internal teams and Clubs, using insights to guide brand and creative strategy. Partners cross-functionally with internal teams, including Strategy, Member Experience, Insights, Communications, and Public Affairs, to ensure brand integration across all initiatives. Aligns closely with the Legal department to maintain trademarks and copyright filings worldwide, and to support the protection of the brand. Oversees creative operations, including budgeting, agency partnerships, contracts, and project prioritization to maximize efficiency and impact. Supervises work output, performance, and conduct of two or more Associates in alignment with AAAs ethical standards. Plans, monitors, and appraises job results. Provides feedback, coaching, and mentorship to promote growth, development, and a positive work culture. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics: Proven track record of managing or evolving a major consumer brand, ideally within a federated or mission-driven organization. Deep understanding of brand governance and the ability to balance centralized strategy with localized execution. Creative and strategic thinker with deep expertise in brand strategy, positioning, and identity development, known for crafting bold, long-term brand frameworks. Strong, inclusive leadership skills, with experience scaling teams, mentoring talent, and fostering a culture of creativity, growth, and accountability. Excellent storytelling, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate a clear vision and influence stakeholders at all levels. Skilled in analyzing brand health, perceptions, market trends, and competitive positioning, and translating insights into actionable brand strategies that drive relevance and differentiation. Proficiency in industry-standard creative tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Figma), project management platforms, and brand systems for managing visual identity, digital assets, and guidelines. Passion for building iconic, trusted, and future-ready brands that reflect the AAA mission and support Clubs in delivering exceptional value to Members. Education, Experience, & Certifications: A bachelors degree in Marketing, Brand Management, Design, Communications, or a related field is required. At least ten (10) years of experience in creative direction and brand leadership roles, showcasing a portfolio that illustrates measurable brand adoption, audience engagement, and impact-driven growth. Hiring Range:

$ 131,110 - $165,200 This position is also eligible for participation in AAA, Inc.'s Annual Incentive Plan. AAA, Inc. is committed to paying competitively and equitably. The posted range for this position represents competitive compensation based on market data, internal equity, and the skills and requirements of the position. The compensation offered will depend on your qualifications and experience. AAA, Inc. supports a flexible work environment for our associates. We are committed to collaboration, innovation, and work-life balance and offer a hybrid work model of three days in-office and two days at home (or whenever you work best) each week.
