Overview
Network Engineer - Data Center (Planned Position) (Top Secret Required). MicroHealth is seeking a Network Engineer - Data Center to support contract activities in the areas of Technical Support, IT Strategies and Client Services, and Cyber Security for the Navys fleet overhaul, repair, and maintenance. Location
Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) CIO C109, Portsmouth, VA 23709 Responsibilities
Install, configure, troubleshoot, and monitor network systems, hardware, and software applications including switches, routers, firewalls, and network appliances. Implement DISA STIGs to ensure network component compliance. Evaluate and respond to network incidents and perform corrective actions. Support approved change management processes. Implement and manage data center technologies (network, compute, storage, automation, security). Collaborate with Windows, Unix, and other server administrators to design solutions and address requirements. Troubleshoot issues and implement changes in a data center environment. Review security information and event management (SIEM) tools to discover and resolve network events. Implement and manage security protocols and policies within enterprise networks. Perform root cause analysis and provide recommendations or corrective actions. Work with Department of Defense teams to support project objectives. Contribute to project/task plan execution and help assess/resolve issues. Qualifications
Ten (10) years of experience. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Cisco networks. Experience in design, configuration, and installation of enterprise network devices. Extensive work history in data center environments. Requirements
Proficiency in advanced routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF) and switching technologies. Understanding and implementation of SDN technologies (SD-Access, SD-WAN). Planning, designing, and implementing local and wide-area enterprise networks. Expertise with Cisco data center solutions (Nexus, UCS, ACI, Fibre Channel). Hardware experience:
Network switches: CISCO Nexus 7000/9000 and Cisco Catalyst series. Cisco routers: CISCO 4551, 8500.
Software experience:
SolarWinds Cisco ISE Cisco Catalyst Center (DNA) Splunk
Required Certifications
Security+ CE or higher. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP). Physical Demands
