Job Title : Legal Administrative professional (experience level: Experienced) Denver, CO Department/Industry : Legal Administrative Salary : $70,000.00 $90,000.00 Education : High School required Responsibilities (Essential Functions) Provides intermediate to advanced level legal administrative assistance as directed and required for the support of the firm and/or attorneys Performs clerical and administrative tasks including time entry; new business intake; drafting, preparing, revising legal documents, letters, memos; invoices; billing reports; audit letters; expense reports and other documents for attorneys and timekeepers Prepares documents for e-filing and files documents with courts or other agencies relevant to the practice area Prepares notebooks, exhibits and closing binders May prepare docket entry forms for incoming/outgoing court documents and document specific actions for legal proceedings Proofreads for formatting, grammar, punctuation, syntax, and content accuracy Coordinates scheduling for appointments, meetings, and conferences; supports attorneys, clients, and visitors Coordinates travel arrangements and prepares itineraries and travel expense reports Responds to and provides information to clients under attorney supervision Manages files and indexes (paper and electronic) per firm guidelines Processes and tracks legal work; records and monitors deadlines Coordinates client billing process; troubleshoots billing issues with the billing team Greets visitors; answers and directs phone calls Processes incoming/outgoing mail and coordinates with Office Services Collaborates with other departments to complete office functions Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills / Abilities

Ability to learn, interpret, and apply policies and procedures Detail oriented with a professional demeanor Strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to work cooperatively with attorneys, staff, clients, and coworkers Intermediate to advanced proficiency with or willingness to learn firm software for conflicts, new business intake, recordkeeping, timekeeping and billing, document management and workflow Intermediate to advanced word processing skills Understanding of legal, clerical, and court systems Ability to organize and prioritize tasks, including delegation when appropriate Ability to quickly acquire familiarity with department roles, laws or guidelines as applicable Ability to recreate content based on experience

Mentor Role

Will train incoming staff on general firm processes and core practice areas. Work Environment

This position requires a professional office environment with some ability to work from home. Because of handling sensitive firm and client information, remote work should be from a home office rather than a public location during remote periods. Standard office equipment is used. Physical Demands

This is a full-time, benefits-eligible position. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with some flexibility. A minimum of 3 days in the office is expected. Occasional overtime may be required. Education & Experience

Required:

High school degree or equivalent and 3 years of relevant legal experience Preferred:

Bachelors Degree, Notary Public, minimum of 3 years of law firm experience
