Overview

Warehouse Associate I – Duluth, GA (Airgas, an Air Liquide company). This open position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with full-time permanent work, opportunities for career growth, and benefits including health plans, 401(k), vacation, and more.

What will I be doing?

As a Warehouse Associate, you will move material within a warehouse while adhering to safety rules and meeting productivity and quality standards. Duties may include loading, unloading, palletizing, receiving, locating, picking and packing safety products, and other warehouse tasks. You may lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull up to 75 pounds, stand/walk up to 10 hours, and operate material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks, order pickers, conveyors). This position reports to a warehouse lead, supervisor, or manager.

  • Verify accuracy of incoming and outgoing shipments and orders.
  • Stack and arrange products.
  • Wrap and pack orders for shipping.
  • Maintain a clean work area and follow safety regulations.
  • Operate in accordance with established safety procedures.
  • All candidates will be forklift certified and cross-trained in all warehouse areas.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Experience and Qualifications

  • HS diploma/GED preferred or equivalent experience
  • 0–1 year warehousing or similar experience
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs; push/pull up to 75 lbs
  • Ability to stand/walk up to 10 hours
  • Ability to read and comprehend orders and bills of lading
  • Basic math skills; ability to learn computer software systems
  • Stand-up Forklift, Sit-down Forklift, Cherry Picker, and Pallet Jack experience a plus
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and overtime as needed
