Program Manager Of Student Engagement

The Program Manager of Student Engagement at the Chicago Forum for Free Inquiry and Expression will coordinate and expand the Chicago Forum's student engagement initiatives, working closely with students, faculty, and staff to foster participation in events and programs that embody the Forum's mission of free inquiry and expression. This emerging leadership role focuses on operational support, relationship-building, and enhancing learning outcomes through student-led activities, while collaborating with internal teams to create impactful and inclusive programming. Responsibilities include: Coordinate activities and initiatives for the Student Board and Committees across divisions and schools, ensuring alignment with the Chicago Forum's mission and goals. Provide logistical and operational support for student-led events and activities, ensuring resources, guidance, and coordination with relevant stakeholders to maximize participation and impact. Work closely with the Director of Curriculum to incorporate student engagement strategies into Chicago Forum programs, supporting innovative approaches to enhance learning outcomes. Exercise autonomy and judgment in crafting student-led events, ensuring resources, guidance, and logistical support are available to maximize impact and participation. Collaborate with the Events Specialist and team to execute high-quality events that promote free inquiry and expression, ensuring alignment with student interests and needs. Develop and implement approaches to enhance student participation in Forum initiatives, with emphasis on inclusivity and accessibility. Track participation and assess the effectiveness of engagement efforts by gathering feedback and analyzing data to inform continuous improvements. Establish strong working relationships with student leaders, faculty, and staff to encourage collaboration and foster a participatory community. Monitor and manage budgets related to student engagement activities, ensuring efficient resource allocation and adherence to financial guidelines. Represent the Forum in university events, meetings, and external conferences to promote and showcase student engagement efforts. Coordinates with the students and staff to develop activities, programs, and initiatives related to student life, and/or community involvement. Develops and implements straightforward programming. Markets student activities programming throughout the year. Develops and implements protocols for evaluating the effectiveness of programs. Performs other related work as needed. Minimum qualifications include a college or university degree in a related field and 2-5 years of work experience in a related job discipline. Preferred qualifications include 3+ years of experience in student engagement or student affairs within higher education, proven experience in coordinating and facilitating university-level events, and strong leadership and organizational skills.
