Under broad supervision, the QA Tester/Analyst will drive the overall QA planning, tracking, and reporting for project(s), as well as execute test lifecycle deliverables according to standard methodology and procedures to ensure successful Test Strategy/Plan implementation for the Georgia Dept. of Transportation (GDOT). While the position may be long-term, it is subject to annual budget restrictions. The initial contract is through the end of this fiscal year, with renewal anticipated on July 1st.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Test custom applications and GIS components. Interact with various teams actively. Create and document test plans, scenarios, cases, execute tests, analyze results, and report issues, focusing on business end-user needs. Support testing in an Agile environment. Ensure test cases are well-formulated and adhere to QA standards for accurate metrics. Collaborate closely with business partners, PMO, and technical delivery teams to understand requirements. Ensure timely testing and communicate bottlenecks or risks to management. Assist in developing UAT test scenarios and test cases. Participate in defect triage and demo meetings. Report weekly status updates to QA Testing Lead. Candidate Pay Range: $39.92 - $43.00/hr. Preferred Visa: Permanent Resident (Green Card) or US Citizen. Work Schedule: Hybrid, local candidates only. Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business, or related field. Experience:
Minimum 3 years in software testing projects. Experience with mid to large-scale system development, including test automation and strategy. Strong communication and analytical skills. Ability to review system documentation and perform manual or automated testing. Experience with RTM, test case documentation, and test data preparation. Proficiency in various testing types: system, performance, regression, security, etc. Experience with mobile testing is a plus. Knowledge of tools like GitHub, ServiceNow, TFS, JIRA. Specialized Experience:
Understanding of STLC, SDLC, and agile methodologies. Familiarity with defect management tools. Public sector experience preferred. Certifications (Preferred):
ISTQB, CSTE, CAST, or similar. Additional Details:
