Responsibilities

The Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) provides healthcare focusing on disease prevention, health promotion, health maintenance, and supportive care. The APRN works independently and collaboratively to diagnose, prescribe treatment, manage, and evaluate patient care. The role includes being an educator, healthcare resource, interdisciplinary consultant, and patient advocate. The APRN applies knowledge of growth and development in patient interactions and performs related duties. Demonstrates professional development and clinical competency, with knowledge of professional nursing theory, practice, and medical care for patients of all ages according to the practice specialty. Serves in a clinical role to assist the physician in ensuring comprehensive patient care. Interacts directly with patients and families to maximize quality care. Required: Signed collaborative agreement and valid DEA number if prescribing controlled substances. Qualifications

Required:

Three years of nursing experience Master's Degree National Nurse Practitioner Certification, Nurse Practitioner, and Registered Nurse license Desired:

Three years of experience in oncology nursing
