SteelGate LLC is hiring full time PC Technician (Deskside) to join our team. In this role you will support U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) by providing information technology service management. SteelGate LLC. in partnership with Peraton is providing USSOCOM services for developing, documenting, structuring, implementing, coordinating and monitoring delivery of USSOCOM's IT service management processes, procedures and performance, including continuous improvement of all USSOCOM's IT service areas. This includes support to USSOCOM in coordinating, integrating and synchronizing the services from IT service area providers. This position requires a fundamental technical background in PC configuration and management. Provide technical assistance for hardware and software issues on desktops, laptops, and other computer equipment. Install, configure, diagnose, and troubleshoot hardware, software and peripheral devices. Respond to helpdesk calls and emails from users in a timely manner. Troubleshoot and repair hardware components such as motherboards, hard drives, RAM, power supplies, etc. Configure and deploy new computer systems according to standards. Setup and configure network components. Monitor system performance, identify any issues, and determine solutions. Create user accounts and manage access rights and security settings. Communicate effectively with users to gain an understanding of their technical needs. Provide training to users on basic computer operations and usage of installed software packages. Maintain inventory of all installed hardware components, software licenses, and peripherals. Keep up to date with industry developments and trends in technology. Tasks include: Manage and provide day-to-day support for End User Devices that provide local or remote access, whether using wired or wireless connectivity. Oversees Jr technicians. Provides status of ongoing technical initiatives. Provides troubleshooting and resolving technical issues. Conducts application and data migration necessary as a result of a hardware or software IMAC or re-installation. Troubleshoots and repairs software and network connectivity issues. Build, configure, and test IT equipment in accordance with applicable standard hardware configuration(s), software image(s), procedures, and specific requirements. Plan, engineer, coordinate, install, and/or manage equipment installations. Recommend upgrades to and replacements in accordance with policies and procedures. Integrate, test, and verify remote access hardware and software. Support approved peripheral devices. Interface directly with customers to provide training and to resolve issues related to services. Provide telephony instrument services. Provide IMAC services. Coordinate with the Enterprise CSD, Site/Local Helpdesk, OEMS, Network, Server, Architecture, and/or Engineering and the requesting organization. Conduct pre-installation and site surveys as necessary. Make use of Remedy for receiving, documenting, and closing tickets. Update management tools as required. Make use of available tools to troubleshoot and resolve issues such as SCCM, McAfee, InTune, Forescout, Tivioli, and/or Hypori. Provide telephony instrument services including, but not limited to, provision telephones, configure and connect VoIP telephones, key secure equipment, change the usernames, enable and disable extension mobility, and activate and deactivate telephone features. Manage and provide day-to-day support for VDI clients. Integrate, test, and verify VDI client hardware and software with USSOCOM's VDI standard client image. Recommend upgrades to and replacements for hardware and software utilized by VDI clients Required Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Advanced knowledge of computer hardware, software, and networking technologies. Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving technical problems. Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for IT support. Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills. Ability to lift and move heavy IT equipment. Ability to follow directions and adhere to safety protocols. Knowledge of standard office software applications such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc. Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and 5-10 years relevant experience Minimum DoD 8570 IAT Level II Compliance: Security + with CE Must possess and maintain TS/SCI clearance.
