The Director of ICU assesses, plans, implements and evaluates delivery of patient care with 24 hour responsibility for total management of the ICU Department. Provides administrative direction for development and evaluation of all nursing personnel, and maintains operational aspects of the patient care unit in collaboration with support services. Contributes to nursing and the hospital through support of philosophy and objectives, educational and research efforts. Accountable to assure that HCAHPS, patient, employee, and physicians satisfaction scores are within acceptable ranges. Accountable for building and directing teams to improve core measures and Joint Commission initiatives. Maintains ongoing dialogue with nurses one?on?one and in staff meetings. Identifies staff needs and resolves issues to improve patient care and supports nursing leadership direction. Maintains a positive approach to implementing new initiatives and practices without bias. Qualifications

Education/Training/Experience: Bachelors degree required; BSN preferred Master's degree preferred Minimum five years clinical ICU experience as an RN required Minimum three years experience in acute care nursing leadership in ICU/Critical Care required Certifications/Licenses: Current license to practice professional nursing (RN) in the State of California Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification through the American Heart Association Specialty Certification preferred This Opportunity Offers
