Our plant, located in Lansing, IL, pasteurizes raw eggs to remove harmful bacteria for a safer product to the foodservice industry. Responsibilities

POSITION SUMMARY: The primary responsibility of the Human Resource Business Partner is to support line leaders in driving plant performance. They provide support for employees and report to the plant HR Manager. They work in partnership to coach, support, influence, and enable customer groups including team members and leaders to effectively deliver their people plans. In this role as a partner to their customer, they contribute to and support accomplishment of the company objectives in a matrix structure. This position has direct line leader support responsibilities of plant leadership team members. This position will participate in HR projects that impact the entire facility. They are responsible for performing duties in a manner that supports plant safety, food safety, quality and environmental practices by performing the following duties personally or through other resources. They have responsibility to comply with Safety work rules at all times as well as an obligation to reinforce Safety as a Core Value. They ensure that all policies, procedures and activities related to Food Safety & Quality are followed and complied with uniformly, to reduce product and process variability. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Partner to deliver value to customer groups and their management teams in a plant environment that enables development of individual employee ability and increased organizational capabilities. Work in partnership with customer groups to manage employee relations issues. Promote positive and pro-active employee relations support to team members and respective leaders. Be a role model for and provide high levels of customer service to employees. Build management responsibility and capability for managing employee relations where appropriate. Lead generalist duties in performance management, on-the-job training, training, talent acquisition, new employee orientation, benefits, compensation, etc., as a resource to team members and leaders. Embed engagement, safety, and a performance management culture within the business area to drive business improvement with clear goals, feedback and service improvement through values-aligned behaviors. Drive, influence, advise and support the cultural and people aspects of organizational change, structures, processes and business improvement initiatives within the customer groups to improve efficiency, people management and flexibility for growth. Assist customer groups to improve and deliver decision support via HR data and metrics that drive business objectives, building accountability and visual management. Partner with the HR Centers of Excellence (COE) to leverage resources and support company-wide initiatives and processes. Provide feedback to HR and COE teams on implementation and utilization of tools to ensure effective execution of HR initiatives. Represent the customers needs at the plant level and provide customer feedback to COE teams. Lead projects that support plant and Supply Chain initiatives to enhance HR processes. Minimize business risk and enhance the company culture by ensuring that all managers are knowledgeable in required legal areas (Compliance, Code of Conduct, Diversity & Sexual Harassment, Interviewing and selection skills, employment law, etc.). Ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local legal and regulatory requirements. Performs other duties as may be assigned. Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: B.S. or B.A. degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience. 5+ years of increasing generalist responsibility within Human Resources in a manufacturing environment. Demonstrated success managing projects EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Bilingual in Spanish. Physical Demands

The physical demands required in this position are those that are typical of an office environment. The ability to travel by automobile, airplane or other transportation is necessary, and such travel may occasionally entail long distances. Work Environment

The primary work environment for this position is typical of an office work environment; it will require periodic presence in a manufacturing environment where appropriate personal protective equipment is prescribed and must be used. Language Skills

The ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals; effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients and customers. Computer Skills

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of ERP/HCM software, Applicant Tracking System; Internet software; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
