Performs delegated patient care activities as directed by the RN or medical staff upon completion of documented training, in a manner that is aligned with age specific needs of the patient to ensure safe, accurate and high-quality treatment of patients. Documentation of patient care. Participate in organization, cleaning and safety of unit. Maintains unit supplies, prepares patient rooms and medical records, enters charges, and answers the multi-line telephone to assist in the safe and efficient operation of the unit. Answers questions about treatment plan within the expected scope or refers questions to RN. Make rounds and respond promptly to patient requests. Assist in the admission, transfer and discharge of patients as directed. Will be required to float to different units depending on staffing needs throughout hospital. Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED -Preferred 1 year Prior experience in a healthcare related field- Preferred Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association within 90 Days -Required 6 months of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a hospital setting- Required What Are Your Options
Option I Must work one weekend per month (days can be split up) Potential float to all units and work in capacity needed as a Aide, HUC or patient companion - We will cross train you! Work one major, one minor Holiday Major Holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years Minor Holidays: Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day Option II You Choose! 12, 24 or 36 hours per week with assigned 2 consecutive shifts every 3rd or 4th weekend!
