Asset Manager

to oversee the performance and strategic direction of a portfolio of Manufactured Housing Communities (MHCs). This role is responsible for maximizing asset value through financial analysis, operational oversight, capital planning, and support for acquisitions and dispositions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of real estate fundamentals, manufactured housing operations, and investor reporting. Key Responsibilities Portfolio Oversight & Performance Management Monitor and analyze financial and operational performance across assigned MHC assets Develop and execute asset-level business plans to drive NOI growth and long-term value Identify opportunities for rent optimization, expense reduction, and capital investment Collaborate with property management teams to ensure alignment with strategic goals Financial Analysis & Reporting Prepare monthly and quarterly asset performance reports for internal stakeholders and investors Track KPIs including occupancy, rent collections, lease compliance, and capital expenditures Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions for underperforming assets Maintain and update financial budgets for each asset, including pro forma projections Capital Planning & Project Oversight Assist in developing and managing capital improvement plans across the portfolio Coordinate with operations and vendors to ensure timely and cost-effective execution Monitor ROI on capital projects and adjust strategies based on performance Acquisition & Disposition Support Participate in underwriting and due diligence for new MHC acquisitions Provide operational and financial insights during the investment committee process Assist in preparing disposition materials, including asset summaries and performance history Coordinate with legal, finance, and brokerage teams during transaction execution Strategic Initiatives & Stakeholder Communication Support portfolio-wide initiatives such as utility billing optimization, home sales programs, or technology upgrades Communicate with internal stakeholders including internal leadership on asset performance and strategy and external stakeholders as needed Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards Qualifications 5+ years of experience in real estate asset management, preferably in manufactured housing or multifamily Strong financial modeling and analytical skills (Excel proficiency required) Experience with property management software and reporting platforms (e.g., Rent Manager, Yardi, MRI) Familiarity with MHC operations, including rent structures, home ownership models, and regulatory nuances Excellent communication and presentation skills Ability to travel for site visits and project oversight Benefits Competitive base salary + performance-based bonus Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid time off and holidays Professional development and continuing education support Opportunity to influence strategy in a growing portfolio of MHC assets
