3 - 5 years direct experience with TACRAD Responsibilities Provides expertise on Tactical Radios (TACRAD) and supports set-up, operation, and troubleshooting of TACRAD and THC2 systems for FMF during deployment, garrison, major exercises, and contingency operations in CONUS and OCONUS. Provide on-site and remote C4I systems technical support to the operating forces of the United States Marine Corps, joint services, allied nations, and program offices to ensure effective use of C4I systems. Troubleshoot, guide, and analyze tactical communications systems, including system set-up, maintenance, upgrades, and configuration management for fielded Marine Corps C4I systems. Work in a cross-functional team with military personnel, government civilians, and contractor staff; travel up to 25% as required by Government Customer requests. Train FMF personnel to set up, configure, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain TACRAD and THC2 systems. Perform spectrum analysis and interface with FMF personnel and US Government employees to provide break/fix support to USMC tactical networks in fast-paced environments. Research questions using manuals, operating guides, fleet advisory messages, and approved knowledge bases; identify and escalate urgent situations. Qualifications and Education Requirements

TRAVEL REQUIRED FOR POSITION

- Must be able to obtain or possess a valid US Passport and be physically qualified to support military exercises and contingency operations. Thorough understanding of RF theory and antennas to assist in HF antenna selection and erection in field settings. Ability to install and operate radio software platforms including Harris CPA, RPA, JENM, ACES, NRDI, Code plug, ASTRO-25, and Thales PC Programmer for radio configuration and software/firmware updates. Basic understanding of computer networking and subnetting; ability to troubleshoot and configure radio-to-PC connections on various Windows OS versions; strong foundation in IP addressing and subnetting. Strong understanding of spectrum, frequency management, signal flow, and transmission theories. Familiarity with transportable Troposcatter and HCLOS systems (e.g., AN/TRC-170A, AN/MRC-142) and related capabilities and interfaces. Familiarity with AN/TRC-238 (LRS) and WPPL terrestrial HCLOS radio systems and related mission capabilities. Familiarity with Next Generation Troposcatter (TROPO) and LOS/BLOS concepts and capacity expectations. Experience with electro-magnetic spectrum management; experience working with customers to address issues and requests, with strong listening, data entry, and documentation skills. Experience writing technical solutions and knowledgebase articles; intermediate analytical and troubleshooting skills; attention to detail and consistent IT problem resolution. Experience supporting Marine Corps C4I systems and equipment; minimum of 3 years in military training and education; direct participation in real-world operations is desired. Willing to work in a 24x7x365 secured environment with flexible scheduling.
