Senior Cloud Engineer
Zachary Piper Solutions is currently seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to support one of our government customers on-site in Lorton, VA. The ideal candidate will be a cloud-savvy technologist with deep experience in Azure infrastructure, DevSecOps, and secure enclave operations, ready to lead mission-critical deployments in a classified environment. Responsibilities for the Senior Cloud Engineer include: Serve as the Enclave Administrator (EA), managing deployment and maintenance of mission enclave infrastructure and applications. Monitor system health, including Azure solution performance, application availability, and capacity management. Manage operational systems and trouble tickets, escalating issues as needed. Conduct troubleshooting and remediation in coordination with system owners, product teams, and migration teams. Participate in planning sessions and technical presentations with customer stakeholders. Perform regular system maintenance, including patching, vulnerability remediation, and lifecycle updates. Qualifications for the Senior Cloud Engineer include: Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience. 8+ years in systems engineering, with a focus on cloud technologies Must possess CompTIA Sec+ within 30 days of hire. Microsoft Azure and Windows certifications preferred. Azure IaC and DevSecOps (Bicep, ARM, PowerShell, CLI). Experience with C4 and SAP network environments. Familiarity with VDI, databases, web servers, and hybrid cloud architectures. Must be eligible to work in the United States and obtain and maintain an Active U.S Government Top Secret with SCI eligibility. Compensation for the Senior Cloud Engineer include: Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000+ depending on experience Comprehensive Benefits: Cigna Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, PTO, Sick Leave if required by law, and Holidays
