SBCI is a high-end / luxury home builder is Southern CA, with a roughly 40yr history of delivering on challenging and complex projects. We are looking to add a qualified and enthusiastic full-time Superintendent to our team. The Superintendent is a critical component of our team structure working alongside their Project Manager to deliver homes that are not shy of perfection. Superintendents are responsible for managing, directing, supervising, and coordinating the day-to-day construction operations of their projects. This person must have custom-building experience with acute attention to detail, as well as the drive and ability to deliver a positive client experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the project is constructed in strict accordance with plans and specifications.
• Schedule subcontractors, vendors, and consultants in the critical path to ensure timely completion.
• Ensure subcontractor are fully executing and complying with contracted scope of work.

· Assist in material takeoffs and orders.

• Identify areas of work that are outside of the subcontractor scope.
• Adhere to and implement Quality Control on all work being performed.
• Communicate with the project team regarding RFIs and material submittals.
• Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
• Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate them to the project team for resolution.
• Maintain a written daily log with photos of activities on the job site.
• Maintain look ahead schedules and work with Project Managers to update schedules and forecast any upcoming delays.
• Ensure the job site is kept in a clean and organized manner and up to safety standards.
• Perform completion punch list identification and completion.
• Deliver a managed and positive client experience.

Qualifications

• 5 + years of experience managing, directing, supervising, and coordinating the construction operations of high-end custom residential construction.
• Bilingual is a plus
• Must have comprehensive knowledge of project schedules, budgets, subcontractor scopes, quality control, field safety, and building codes.
• Must be able to provide direction and resolve problems amongst multiple subcontractors and vendors simultaneously.
• Ability to read/interpret construction plans and identify design deficiencies, impractical details, and possible code violations.

· Ability to create and edit basic documents including Excel, Word and Adobe PDF’s

• Ability to communicate with project owners, architects, and team clearly, effectively, and calmly.
• • Above average communication skills are required.
• Must be able to communicate using phone and computer.
• Must be able to manage difficult and emotional client situations and respond promptly and courteously to client needs.
• Must project and promote positive morale.
• • Must be results driven and team oriented
• Candidate must possess passion, integrity, hard work, and professionalism.
• Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods, walk job sites with ease, and bend/stoop as needed.
