Overview

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join their growing finance team. The ideal candidate must have at least 3+ years of experience in retail accounting and a strong understanding of GAAP principles, finacial reporting, and month-end close processes.

Salary/Hourly Rate: $60k - $70k

Position Overview: The Staff Accountant must be highly motivated and detail-oriented. This role is ideal for professionals who are looking to contribute for a dynamic and fast-paced work environment. The Staff Accountant will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting month- end close processes, and ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting standards.

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

• Perform daily accounting functions including journal entries.
• Support month end and year end close activities as a staff accountant.
• Analyze financial data and assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure reporting of retail transactions.
• Assist with audit preparation.

Required Experience/Skills for the Staff Accountant:

• Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Staff Accountant in a retail environment.
• Proficiency in accounting software (SAP, NetSuite, Quickbooks).
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.

Preferred Experience/Skills for the Staff Accountant:

• Experience with inventory accounting.
• Strong time management.
• Adaptability in a fast paced setting.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
