Position: Client Service Representative

The Position: Client Service Representative – Union Location, under new management. Join a growing team that values compassion, collaboration, and community.

Reports to: CSR Supervisor

Summary: Our client service representatives support the delivery of high-quality primary veterinary care. As the front line of communication between clients and providers, CSRs promote the practice by maintaining a client-oriented and professional work environment. CSRs perform tasks including using computer and veterinary management software, answering and directing phone calls, scheduling appointments, patient check-in and check-out, and more. They also act as liaisons between patients and medical staff. Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Greet clients and pets in a prompt, courteous, and helpful manner
  • Check out patients, print invoices, and receive/apply payments
  • Maintain a clean and professional work and reception area
  • Answer phone calls and relay information to the appropriate party
  • Assist clients at times of euthanasia by rooming patients, preparing paperwork and taking payments
  • Keep food and merchandise shelves stocked
  • Drawer reconciliation
  • End of day deposits
  • Complete other tasks as assigned

The Ideal Candidate Requires:

  • Excellent customer service skills and a positive attitude
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced and potentially stressful situations
  • Comfort with computer and internet use and familiarity with veterinary terms/procedures
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
