Summary

We are seeking a qualified Electrician to support plant operations by installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment. This role is essential to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of production infrastructure. The Electrician will work closely with the maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime and uphold safety and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, including motors, control panels, lighting, and power distribution.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment to ensure reliability and compliance with safety standards.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Diagnose electrical faults using appropriate testing equipment and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Support the installation and commissioning of new electrical systems and upgrades.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with production and facilities teams to support operational goals.
  • Respond to emergency calls and participate in on-call rotations as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid electrician license or journeyman certification.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in industrial or commercial electrical work.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems and controls.
  • Familiarity with NEC codes and electrical safety standards.
  • Ability to work from ladders, scaffolds, and in confined spaces.
  • Basic computer skills for maintenance logging and reporting.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree or technical certification in electrical technology.
  • Experience with PLCs, VFDs, and building automation systems.
  • Familiarity with CMMS or other maintenance management software.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or production plant environment.
Work Environment
  • Work is performed in a production plant environment with exposure to electrical hazards, noise, and varying temperatures.
  • May require lifting heavy equipment and working at heights or in confined spaces.
  • Use of PPE is mandatory in designated areas.
