Responsibilities
- Responsible for troubleshooting plant power distribution, motor control, and PLC systems.
- Uses test equipment (e.g., megger, DMM, oscilloscope, amprobe, transistor tester) and conducts instrument calibration.
- Maintains an understanding of engineering drawings and documents/updates prints.
- Works with digital and analog electronics, logic circuits, triac power controls, etc.
- Maintains accurate records such as equipment logs, communication logs, PM sheets, and job orders.
- Models the Springville Compass in all work-related activities.
- Participates in the Springville upskilling program.
- Performs all other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
- Two-year degree or equivalent in Electrical Automation or Electrical Technology
- 6 months of industrial electrical experience within the past 12 months, with 2+ years of industrial electrical experience preferred
- Must be willing to work Saturdays, Sundays, and shutdowns, plus any shift as needed
- Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
- Must be able to use required electrical test equipment and hand tools
- Must understand the basic operation of electrical equipment
- Must troubleshoot and maintain electrical equipment
- Must have knowledge of basic computer programming, including PLCs and operator interfaces
- Basic knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical aptitude
- Basic knowledge of circuit boards, schematics, assembly, vision systems and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of temperature controls
- Team player with minimal supervision
- Able to complete assigned PMs correctly and on time
- Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC is preferred
- Experience in a heavily automated environment is preferred

- Starting hourly pay of $33-$40/hour, based on knowledge and demonstrated skill
- Up to an additional $1.10/hour of Shift Differential
