Overview
We are seeking a talented Graphic Designer with an eye for detail and the ability to turn creative ideas into reality. In this role, you will be responsible for both the creation and stewardship of District Taco brand assets, as well as the application of those assets to create marketing materials, supporting our 18 locations. The Graphic Designer will work closely with the rest of the marketing team, agencies, creative partners, and franchisees, and is focused on two key areas: maintaining and evolving the District Taco brand aesthetic and design principles, and the design and production of all manner of B2C, internal and consumer-facing digital and printed creative elements.
Responsibilities
- Creation of marketing and design materials for all forms of consumer communication, from packaging and small-format print to in-store POP, signage, ads, social media content, video and other elements as needed.
- Maintaining, evolving and steering the District Taco creative resources: ongoing production of illustrations, design elements, logo variations, photography and video to continually build our library of branded assets.
- Creating and updating brand guidelines and toolkits to enable agencies, partners and franchisees to properly represent the District Taco brand in their own projects.
- Steering agencies, partners and franchisees to apply our design language and branded assets properly.
Qualifications
- Education – Undergraduate degree in Advertising, Graphic Design or a related field.
- Experience – Minimum of 2 years experience as a designer at an agency or B2C brand. Fast casual restaurant or QSR experience preferred. Portfolio of creative work demonstrating skill in various aspects of creativity and design.
- Skills / Requirements
- Design & Technical Expertise: Full proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects, etc.), Sketch, and other design/illustration and photo manipulation tools. Strong understanding of photography, retouching, illustration, typography, and other core principles of art direction and visual design, including AI. Proficient in prepress file preparation and the print production process. Working knowledge of SLR/DSLR cameras, lighting, sound and composition for photography and video. Experience with CapCut or similar video-editing software (motion graphics experience a plus).
- Social-native: trend-savvy and comfortable creating platform-specific content for social media.
- Professional Skills – Self-motivated and organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision. Naturally curious, with a passion for exploring new design tools, technologies, and creative techniques. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present and explain design concepts clearly. Strong attention to detail with a balance of creativity and practicality.
