Overview

The Tactical Software and Autonomy Solutions (TSAS) team at i3 supports DoD customers in developing autonomy software architectures for distributing autonomous control across uncrewed platforms. The team seeks a mid-level UI/UX Designer with 3 to 10 years of experience to support a web-based virtual development and simulation environment. This project uses a modern tech stack and architecture in AWS GovCloud.

Responsibilities

• Work with an Agile software development team delivering value to a DoD customer in small, incremental iterations.
• Interface with customers to design user interfaces to be developed by the software team, including UI reviews with representative customer sets, development of mockups, and validation of end results.
• Collaborate with Technical Writers as a Graphic Artist to draw figures for manuals and create logos for use by DoD customers.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Position located in Huntsville, AL
• CONUS travel required Less than 20%

Education, Experience and Required Skills

• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Active Secret Clearance preferred. Candidates must have the ability to obtain and maintain a clearance prior to start.
• Bachelor’s degree (or advanced degree) from an accredited college (ABET preferred).
• 3–10 years of relevant experience.
• Team player who is creative, adaptive, and eager to learn.
• Experience developing user experiences using tools like Figma.
• Experience developing and executing user review studies.
• Experience creating graphics, including military-style logos.
• Routine collaboration with team members in developing system capabilities.
• Familiarity with good user interface design principles and ability to communicate with customers to collaboratively develop user-facing web elements.

Preferred Experience/Skills

• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite including Illustrator and Figma.
• Experience designing and executing customer feedback events.
• Experience developing military-style logos.
• Experience creating graphics for technical manuals.
• Experience working as part of a team.
• Experience on DoD projects is a plus.

• Regular hours are 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Monday–Friday; additional hours may be required. Regular and punctual attendance is required.
