JOB SUMMARY: The Production Line Operator at Polyvinyl Films Inc. is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machines used in the production of high-quality plastic films. You will ensure the efficient operation of the production line, ensuring that all products meet quality standards while maintaining safety and environmental compliance.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Ensure the layer counts are accurate. Stamp core legibly. Manually lift rolls from spindles, place them on scale for weighing and stacks finished rolls. Ensure that empty gaylord skids are available for change when full gaylords are ready. General housekeeping and maintenance of your production area. Other responsibilities as assigned.

ESSENTIALS JOB DUTIES: List the essential job duties that are specific to the position. Set up and calibrate machines according to production specifics. Operate machines efficiently to produce high-quality plastic films, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum productivity. Monitor and adjust machine settings such as temperature, pressure, and speed to maintain product quality. Load raw materials into the hoppers. Maintain proper stock levels of materials and notify the supervisor when inventory is low. Continuously monitor film quality during production, inspecting for visual defects. Report any recurring mechanical problems with the machines. Other responsibilities as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES: Ability to read and write in English. Excellent attention to detail. Strong communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-driven environment. Attention to detail and ability to maintain focus. Knowledge of production process and quality control.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training in manufacturing process or machine operation is a plus. Proven experience as a machine operator, preferably in manufacturing or plastic films manufacturing. Knowledge of the blown films process and machinery, highly preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on your own. Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time. Capability to perform repetitive tasks. Comfortable working in a factory setting with varying temperatures and exposure to dust and loud noises.

Shift A:

Monday-Wednesday: 7:00am-7:00pm Thursday: 7:00am-1:00pm

Shift B:

Monday-Wednesday: 7:00pm-7:00am Every other Thursday: 7:00pm-7:00am

Shift C:

Sunday: 7:00am-7:00pm Thursday: 1:00pm-7:00pm Friday-Saturday: 7:00am-7:00pm

Shift D:

Sunday: 7:00pm-7:00am Every other Thursday: 7:00pm-7:00am Friday-Saturday: 7:00pm-7:00am
