Event Coordinator Intern (Unpaid, Hybrid/In person)

Fairytales Tiny Tails Rescue is looking for a motivated Event Coordinator Intern to plan, promote, and manage virtual and in-person events that support our mission to rescue and rehome vulnerable kittens and small animals. Our events raise vital funds, increase community awareness, and build lasting connections-help us make them unforgettable!
Role Description
As the Event Coordinator Intern, you’ll take charge of coordinating all aspects of fundraising and community events. You’ll work with our team to create engaging event experiences, manage logistics, promote events, and follow up with participants and sponsors. This internship is eligible for college credit and provides hands-on experience in nonprofit event planning and outreach.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and coordinate virtual and/or in-person fundraising and awareness events
Manage event promotion across social media, email, and community channels
Coordinate volunteers and vendors involved in event execution
Track event budgets, registrations, and donations
Communicate with attendees, sponsors, and partners before, during, and after events
Collaborate with other team members to align event goals with organizational needs
Qualifications
Strong organizational and project management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Creative problem-solver and proactive planner
Comfortable working independently in a virtual environment
Skilled with Google Workspace, social media, and email tools
Passionate about animal welfare and community engagement
Previous event planning experience is a plus but not required
