Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled mid-level Salesforce DevSecOps Engineer to join our dynamic Salesforce team. This role combines development operations expertise with security best practices to ensure our Salesforce platform delivers secure, reliable, and compliant solutions for our healthcare operations. You'll work closely with our Salesforce Business Analysts, developers, and administrators to implement robust CI/CD processes using Copado while maintaining the highest security standards.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Copado for Salesforce deployments
Collaborate with development teams to establish and enforce secure coding practices and deployment standards
Monitor and optimize Salesforce application performance, security, and compliance
Implement automated testing frameworks and quality gates within deployment pipelines
Manage version control, branching strategies, and code promotion processes
Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scanning of Salesforce applications
Develop and maintain Salesforce environment management and org synchronization processes
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, FDA) throughout the Salesforce development lifecycle
Troubleshoot Salesforce deployment issues and provide technical support for release management
Create and maintain documentation for Salesforce DevSecOps processes and procedures
Implement monitoring and alerting solutions for Salesforce org health and performance
Work with cross-functional teams to establish Salesforce security policies and governance frameworks
Support Salesforce data backup, recovery, and sandbox management strategies
Mentor junior team members and promote DevSecOps best practices across the organization
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field - preferred
3-5 years of experience in DevOps, with at least 2 years focused on Salesforce platforms
Hands-on experience with Copado CI/CD platform for Salesforce deployments
Knowledge of Salesforce DX (SFDX) for source-driven development and deployment
Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, including Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and platform capabilities
Experience with version control systems (Git) and branching strategies
Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and test-driven development practices
Understanding of security best practices and vulnerability management
Experience with Salesforce-specific monitoring tools and org health management
Familiarity with Salesforce development methodologies and release management
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills specific to Salesforce platform challenges
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
Experience with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, or similar)
Preferred Qualifications
Salesforce certifications (Platform Developer I/II, Administrator, or DevOps Center)
Experience in healthcare, life sciences, or regulated industries
Knowledge of healthcare compliance requirements (HIPAA, FDA regulations)
Experience with Salesforce security scanner and code analyzer tools
Knowledge of Salesforce data governance, field-level security, and sharing rules
Understanding of Salesforce integration security and API governance
Experience with Salesforce performance testing and optimization tools
Familiarity with automated testing tools such as Copado Robotic Testing and Opkey
Knowledge of Salesforce Generation 2.0 packages and package development lifecycle
Copado certification or advanced Copado training
