This role is critical in steering the strategic direction of the organization, fostering community engagement, and acting as the primary spokesperson. The ideal candidate will have a proven record in nonprofit governance, fundraising, and community outreach, along with a commitment to addressing the unique challenges experienced by our community. Key responsibilities include: Leading comprehensive fundraising initiatives. Ensuring effective financial stewardship. Overseeing the quality and effectiveness of programs tailored to meet the needs of patients and the medical community. To qualify for this position, candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree, preferably in healthcare management, public health, or nonprofit administration. A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in nonprofit sectors is essential, with a proven track record in fundraising, public relations, and program development. Candidates with strong expertise in grant writing, donor relations, and innovative fundraising strategies will be at an advantage. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to inspire and lead a dedicated team are also important. Experience in advocacy, particularly in the rare disease or chronic health condition realm, along with a deep commitment to addressing the challenges faced by patients and their families, is highly desirable. This role necessitates operational excellence, strong emotional intelligence, and proficiency in relevant technology and applications.
