Title IX Clerk
Role Mission:
The Title IX Clerk manages administrative and clerical tasks of the IDEA Public Schools Title IX Investigations team. This role maintains all files and systems pertaining to Title IX case management complaints, investigations, and grievances. The clerk will report to the Title IX Coordinator and assist in all administrative tasks as assigned. In addition to administrative tasks, they will execute administrative policies by composing official records, triage of Title IX complaints, facilitate communication, prepare correspondence, and track investigation data. Attention to detail is imperative when preparing, organizing, and maintaining all files and data. This role will function as custodian of department records (forms and narratives) requested by the Title IX Coordinator or Investigators. You must possess strong analytical skills, and have excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact and engage with staff across all levels of the organization.
Location: This is a full-time remote position based in Texas with preference given to candidates who live in Austin, El Paso, Houston, Permian Basin (Midland/Odessa), Rio Grande Valley, San Antonio, and Tarrant County (Fort Worth), or who are willing to relocate.
What You’ll Do – Accountabilities:
Essential Duties:
Provide administrative support and assistance to Coordinator(s), Investigators, complainants, respondents, and witnesses across Title IX cases
Track, coordinate, and maintain Title IX cases
Respond to case information requests in a timely manner
Oversee the record keeping of all Title IX case management
Prepare Title IX case management data reports
Issue applicable support measures at the direction of Title IX Coordinator
Coordinate communication and correspondence between Title IX team and all interested parties
Manage detail oriented focusing file and system management
Respond to case information requests and reports within 24 hours
Track, coordinate, and maintain Title IX cases related to grievances and disciplinary actions into appropriate electronic filing system – support in gathering files from complainants and respondents (abiding by records maintenance laws)
Maintain Title IX Tracker up to date
Support with correspondence and communication to complainants and respondents related to investigations and/or grievances
Study and stay abreast of laws and regulations related to Title IX requirements
Assist with Title IX compliance audits as assigned
What You Bring – Competencies:
Required experience:
High school diploma required; associates or bachelor’s degree preferred
2+ years of administrative experience, ideally with experience in Title IX or Equal Opportunity
Efficient computer skills with thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel preferred
Proficiency skills in keyboarding and file maintenance required
Ability to interpret and disseminate information to individuals and groups
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage confidential information
Ability to perform under immense pressure
Ability to learn software programs and system processes with ease
What We Offer:
Compensation & Benefits:
Salaries for this role fall between $18.49/hour and $23.11/hour commensurate with relevant experience and qualifications. This role is also eligible for a performance bonus based on individual and organizational performance and goal attainment.
