Position Summary
As Senior Manager, Underwriting Software Services, you will be responsible for leading the ideation, solutioning, and delivery of major new capabilities for CVS Caremark’s PBM pricing/underwriting model and related software tools. You’ll provide support to Client Financial Analysis and Optimization (CFAO) users and help maintain existing model functionality and accuracy. This role is business-oriented and positioned prominently between our internal users and technology organization. You will be responsible for: The new proprietary PBM pricing model that facilitates underwriting functions. Key responsibilities include managing key pieces of our technology roadmap, prioritizing product backlogs, ideating best-in-class solutions and UX designs, and unblocking and optimizing delivery in an agile SDLC environment. Acting as a primary business SME for our technology partners to define requirements, prompt UX designs, collaborate on solutions from our product managers, designers, and engineers, and lead user acceptance testing (UAT). Leading major development workstreams from the business perspective to deliver state-of-the-art software tools that are reliable, highly usable, and accurate. Fostering strong relationships with the PBM finance team to facilitate systems integrations, forecasting, client profitability efforts, and financial governance of underwriting activities. Leading collaborative discussions that are highly complex both technically and financially. Leading demonstrations to large audiences in a clear and engaging manner to build confidence and excitement in the tools we are developing. Envisioning elegant solutions to complex UX workflows and communicating these requirements to designers in a way that generates experiences users will love. Developing and exercising expert knowledge of the PBM industry, current and emerging pharmacy strategies, CVS Caremark enterprise offerings, drivers of CVS Caremark enterprise revenue/profitability, and drivers of client revenue/profitability. Required Qualifications
7+ years professional work experience 5+ years experience in financial product development, financial/pricing analysis, and/or underwriting Preferred Qualifications
2+ years PBM experience in underwriting, analytics, or product management Experience successfully operating in agile SDLC environments Experience managing highly complex projects Education
Bachelor’s degree or relevant professional work experience. Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, engineering or computer science preferred Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is: $67,900.00 - $199,144.00 This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
