Director, Global Trade Compliance REMOTE – Leica Biosystems Leica Biosystems (LBS) is an operating company in Danaher’s diagnostics segment and a global leader in workflow and automation solutions for anatomic pathology laboratories. LBS provides products from sample preparation to imaging and reporting to improve workflow efficiency and diagnostic confidence for customers worldwide. Responsibilities
As a business leader seated in LBS’ Legal and Compliance organization, exemplify and lead with Danaher’s culture of “and”—driving exceptional results AND compliance. Build positive and collaborative relationships with customs authorities, regulators, and internal stakeholders. Lead comprehensive trade compliance audit programs to identify gaps and opportunities for process improvement. Develop and implement comprehensive compliance training programs to ensure regulatory awareness and expertise throughout the organization. Drive technology adoption and automation in classification, valuation, auditing, and licensing. Integrate trade compliance intelligence into LBS’ broader enterprise risk management and proactively communicate trade-related risks. Optimize duty structures and identify cost-saving opportunities. Design, recruit, and lead a high-performance team of trade compliance experts to support LBS’ global footprint. Qualifications
Essential
BS/BA and 10+ years leading trade compliance programs and teams in metric/KPI-driven global manufacturing organizations within medical device manufacturing or other highly regulated sectors. Deep global trade compliance subject matter expertise with ability to explain complex concepts to senior leaders and handle Q&A. Preferred
Advanced degree in International Business, Trade, Law, or related field; MBA or JD preferred. Professional certifications in trade compliance or customs law. Key Competencies

Remote position with candidates in the Chicago/Milwaukee metropolitan area strongly preferred. Global travel required (~10%, flexible). Compensation and Benefits
Salary range: $180,000 – $220,000. This range is provided in good faith and may be modified. Eligible for bonus/incentive pay. Comprehensive benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, and 401(k). Equal Opportunity
