We're looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Bookkeeper to join our friendly team and help us maintain precise financial records.

Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Construction Bookkeeper with specific experience in the construction industry to manage our day-to-day accounting and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will be proficient in job costing, AIA billing, and managing subcontractor compliance. This is a part-time role with flexible hours, perfect for a professional looking for a balanced work schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of Accounts Payable (A/P) and Accounts Receivable (A/R).

• Process and manage AIA G702/G703 progress billings, as needed.

• Perform job costing to track project expenses and profitability.

• Handle bank and credit card reconciliations.

• Collect and manage subcontractor paperwork, including insurance certificates and lien waivers.

• Prepare and process payroll for a small team.

• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial statements.

• Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and reporting requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Proven experience as a bookkeeper in the construction industry is required. Marine construction experience is a plus.

• Strong understanding of construction accounting principles, including job costing and WIP (Work in Progress) schedules.

• Proficiency in accounting software, especially QuickBooks (Contractor Edition preferred).

• Experience with AIA billing is strongly preferred.

• Excellent organizational skills and a keen eye for detail.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

• Strong communication skills.

• Based in or able to commute to our office in Deerfield Beach.
