The successful project manager candidate will be comfortable managing 15-20 projects simultaneously. A few of these projects will be large projects typically in different phases of design, production, and delivery. Several of these projects will be small and take less than two to four hours’ work per week. Strong written and verbal communication skills are vital. The project manager will communicate frequently with customers, their technical staff, government agencies, engineering firms, and internal stakeholders. Besides being able to manage a task list and a project schedule, the project manager will need to be fluent with project management software and financial aspects such as revenue calculation and invoicing.

This position will be focused on on-site work with some opportunities for hybrid work.


Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans and budgets.
  • Lead end-to-end project execution to meet objectives on time and within budget.
  • Manage project issues, risks, and escalations effectively.
  • Adhere to standard procedures for budget creation, cost tracking, approvals, and reviews.
  • Establish and maintain clear, effective communication with all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure timely delivery while staying within cost constraints.
  • Identify project risks and develop initiative-taking mitigation strategies.
  • Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and teams.
  • Define project goals, objectives, roles, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Establish and maintain an efficient project management system.
  • Serve as the primary interface for customers on all assigned projects.
  • Conduct internal and external project reviews to assess performance and implement improvements.
  • Create and manage detailed project schedules and timelines.
  • Generate reports to keep stakeholders informed and manage projects effectively.
  • Clearly define team roles and responsibilities to ensure accountability.
  • Develop cost estimates for project management services.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of proven project delivery success, preferably in manufacturing, engineering, or construction.
  • Strong skills in project planning, management, and business acumen.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and organizational abilities.
  • Analytical and critical thinking expertise.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word (Smartsheet knowledge a plus), as well as Microsoft Project or similar software.
  • Preferred: PMI Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or training.
