Location : Grand Rapids, MI (Remote) Position Type : Full-Time or Part-Time (K-12) About VocoVision : VocoVision is seeking a talented Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) to provide remote interpreting services for K-12 students in Grand Rapids, Michigan. You will help ensure students who are deaf or hard-of-hearing can fully access virtual classroom instruction. What Youll Be Doing : Provide real-time American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation for virtual lessons.
Translate classroom discussions and instructional content into ASL.
Collaborate with teachers, students, and parents to facilitate communication and engagement.
Support inclusive virtual classrooms, allowing students to fully participate in learning.
Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with school teams as necessary.
Requirements : Masters degree preferred.
Certification or proven experience as a Sign Language Interpreter (ASL).
Experience interpreting in educational settings preferred.
Strong communication and collaboration skills in a remote environment.
Reliable internet connection and a quiet, professional workspace.
