Known for its cutting-edge technology, strong developer-first culture, and commitment to work-life balance, this company is looking to bring on a Senior Python Backend Engineer to join its high-impact platform team.
You’ll be contributing to the architecture and development of highly scalable backend systems, APIs, and serverless infrastructure. This role is a chance to work on high-profile projects that reach millions of users daily. The team is seeking someone who can operate independently in a modern cloud-based environment, but who also thrives in a collaborative setting. The work environment is fast-paced, creative, and highly technical—with a strong emphasis on clean, maintainable code. Contract Duration:
6 months
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of professional experience developing backend systems with Python Solid experience building and maintaining RESTful APIs and working with microservices In-depth knowledge of AWS services, including Lambda, S3, API Gateway, RDS, SQS, and others Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL database technologies Experience with serverless architecture and deployments Strong grasp of both object-oriented and functional programming Familiarity with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, and modern cloud patterns
Desired Skills & Experience
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or containerized application environments Comfort designing backend architecture and system flows Exposure to streaming and messaging systems such as Kafka or Kinesis Skilled at debugging and optimizing complex systems Experience working on high-traffic, low-latency systems

80% Python and AWS backend engineering 10% API design and architecture 10% Team interaction and peer code reviews
Daily Responsibilities
85% Hands-on coding and development 5% Contributing to architectural strategy 10% Collaborating with teammates and stakeholders
