A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available at a K-5 elementary school serving students within sub separate ASD programs. This position offers the chance to collaborate closely with another experienced SLP and an SLPA, providing comprehensive speech and language support throughout the school year. Located in Brockton, MA, this contract role focuses on delivering targeted intervention to a diverse student population in a K-12 setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and provide individualized speech and language therapy to students, focusing particularly on those with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Implement and support augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) strategies to facilitate effective communication.
Utilize behavior management techniques to create a supportive learning environment.
Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to develop and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Maintain accurate documentation and progress notes in compliance with school and district policies.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
Proven experience working with K-5 students, particularly those with ASD.
Expertise in AAC methods and tools.
Strong behavior management skills applicable to a school environment.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
