A licensed Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) is needed to support students in a K-12 educational setting in Hartsville, SC. This position is a contract role for the upcoming school year, focused on providing speech and language support under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in implementing individual and group speech-language therapy sessions.
Support students with communication disorders to improve speech, language, and cognitive-communication skills.
Maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and student progress.
Collaborate with speech-language pathologists, teachers, and other school personnel to support student goals.
Participate in team meetings and contribute to individualized education program (IEP) planning.
Ensure compliance with confidentiality and professional standards at all times.
Desired Qualifications:
Current SLPA certification or license appropriate for school settings.
Experience or training in speech-language therapy within K-12 schools preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively with children and adolescents with diverse needs.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
