NETGEAR is looking for a dynamic Sales Engineer (SE) to join our Network Security team. In this critical role, you’ll work directly with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and Small-to-Medium Businesses (SMBs), serving as a trusted technical advisor and driving the successful adoption of NETGEAR’s next-generation security solutions. This is a remote position with occasional travel to customer sites, events, or team meetings. Responsibilities

Act as the technical subject matter expert (SME) on NETGEAR’s network security portfolio during the sales cycle. Work closely with sales teams to understand customer requirements and design tailored solutions using NETGEAR’s security offerings. Deliver engaging technical presentations, product demos, and Proof-of-Concept (PoC) sessions for prospective customers. Guide MSPs and SMBs through the deployment and implementation of products such as Next-Generation Firewalls, Zero-Trust Network Access, Secure Web Gateways, VPNs, and SD-WAN. Develop and maintain strong technical relationships with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders. Provide feedback to product and engineering teams based on customer needs and competitive trends. Support channel partners and assist with onboarding, enablement, and technical training. Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging threats, and competitive solutions. Participate in industry events, webinars, and other forums to promote NETGEAR’s security solutions. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Security, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field. 3+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering, Systems Engineering, Solutions Architecture, or related technical role, specifically in network security. Proven hands-on experience implementing and deploying solutions including Next-Generation Firewalls, Zero-Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Secure Web Gateways (SWG), VPN technologies (WireGuard, IPSec, SSL, client-based and clientless), and SD-WAN. Strong understanding of routing, switching, and network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, etc.). Ability to translate complex technical topics into clear business value for stakeholders. Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills. Experience working with MSPs and/or SMB clients in a consultative or pre-sales capacity. Preferred Qualifications (optional)

Professional certifications such as CISSP or similar. Experience working with cloud-based security platforms and SaaS-delivered security. Exposure to regulatory frameworks such as GDPR, HIPAA, or SOC 2. Experience supporting partner ecosystems and VARs in a technical sales capacity. Familiarity with automation, scripting (e.g., Python, Bash), or infrastructure-as-code is a plus. Company Values
