Overview
The Data Architect I will be responsible for designing, creating, deploying and managing ETL jobs or other data applications / solutions in a hybrid (on-premises and cloud) data environment. This role includes administering data analytics systems owned by the Data Analytics & Reporting team and integrating data across EPIC, departmental repositories, research data, legacy and external sources. Responsibilities
Design and implement ETL or other data integration solutions among EPIC Clarity, EPIC Clinical Data Warehouse, departmental repositories, research data, legacy and external repositories in the hospital’s hybrid and unified data platform. Develop custom data and analytics solutions for data collection, management and distribution, including database design and programming, interface design and development, and application implementation. Provide application implementation monitoring and support, technical guidance, and serve as the primary resolution point for issues related to assigned applications. Install, deploy and upgrade data analytics systems; maintain documentation and perform routine systems administration activities. Scope client requirements and create design documents; create project plans and manage projects. Develop and test ETL or other data integration processes; provide code reviews for team members. Support the reporting and data analytics team; work with the Director of Data Development to prioritize projects. Consult with Information Management staff on software, hardware and peripheral interactions; respond to requests with high customer service standards. Adhere to HIPAA and JCAHO compliance standards. Qualifications
Bachelor\'s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field. 1-3 years of experience with database and data development. 1-3 years of coding experience in an object-oriented language. Knowledge / Experience with SQL Server Stack (SQL, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, PowerBI). Ability to design, write and implement Office 365 or MS Teams applications. Software administration experience. Working knowledge of Healthcare data and analytics (Epic knowledge preferred). Data modeling experience in relational, dimensional, or modern data models; knowledge of ETL, ODS, Data Marts, Cubes and Reporting. Understanding of data integration problems, including data validation and cleaning. Excellent communication skills. Education
