About the Team The Platform Product team partners with the Core Technology / Platform Engineer teams to build the technical foundations that accelerate our Product Engineering teams. We obsess about creating leverage for our developers and product development process by combining technical expertise, domain experience, and product-oriented thinking.

About the Role You will be the product partner for the Cloud Platform teams (Cloud Software, Cloud Services, Cloud Operations). These teams manage third-party tools and platforms (e.g., Kubernetes clusters, CI/CD pipelines, and observability stacks) and create internal tools with reusable frameworks to support the software development lifecycle.

In this role you will:

Set the vision

by partnering with engineering leaders in Cloud Platform to understand our technology strategy.

Be customer centric

by obsessing about solving our developers’ problems. Partner with the engineering team to ship functionality that delights our developers, balancing impact and engineering cost, and making a measurable business impact.

Be decisive

by identifying current and future areas of ambiguity and providing direction with reasoning and analysis. You will be seen as a source of authority, with judgment on business, technical, and organizational issues and the ability to articulate your perspective.

Write great product requirements

that provide clarity and motivation for what we need to build. Lead discussions, generate workable solutions, understand the systems touched, and guide others through the requirement development process.

Drive adoption

by working closely with engineering teams across the organization, removing objections and roadblocks, and identifying solutions.

Be a leader

through example and attitude.

Operate like an owner

with a “no job is too small” attitude to make the product, the team, and Datavant successful.

About You

You have 5+ years in product management, product strategy, or engineering , ideally in healthcare or a similar industry where security and compliance influence design and development.

You are technical . When needed, you can dive into code to understand what is happening. You understand containerization ecosystems (Kubernetes, Helm, Argo CD), Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and GitOps, and you participate in architectural discussions with the engineering team.

You are a systems thinker . You identify leverage points for change and understand impacts across the system, managing complexity and feedback loops.

You are highly organized

with strong project management skills; others trust you to own project outcomes.

You have high bandwidth and high productivity ; you quickly understand, formulate, and respond.

You write exceptional documents , presentations, diagrams, and mockups that drive productive discussions about content.

You are a great communicator

and can lead planning meetings, explaining strategies and rationales to varied audiences.

You work hard

and thrive at full speed, loving what you do.

You are motivated by getting stuff done , setting the big vision and making continual progress toward it.

You are a team player , understanding others’ motivations and needs.

At Datavant our total rewards strategy powers a high-growth, high-performance health technology company that rewards employees for transforming health care through data logistics products and services.

The range posted is for a given job title, which can include multiple levels. Individual rates for the same job title may differ based on level, responsibilities, skills, and experience.

The estimated total cash compensation range for this role is: $170,000—$200,000 USD
