An opportunity is available for a full-time Itinerant Teacher specializing in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) services for K-12 students. This contract position spans the school year and involves providing specialized instruction and support to students with hearing impairments across multiple locations within the district.

Key Responsibilities: Deliver individualized instruction and support to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students across various grade levels (K-12). Collaborate with classroom teachers, support staff, and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Utilize specialized teaching techniques and assistive technology to enhance student learning and communication. Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. Provide itinerant services by traveling to multiple school sites as needed. Offer training and support to general education staff on strategies for including students with hearing impairments. Desired Qualifications: Valid teaching certification with endorsement or certification in Deaf and Hard of Hearing education. Demonstrated experience working with DHH students in K-12 settings. Strong knowledge of hearing loss, communication methods (e.g., sign language, auditory-verbal techniques), and use of assistive technologies. Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills. Flexibility and willingness to travel between schools for itinerant service delivery.
